Frequently asked questions/my future plans

After getting my associates degree from WNCC I plan on finishing my schooling all online through WGU. I want to become an elementary or special education teacher. For the 2026-2027 school year I plan on being a substitute teacher so I can further my education degree while still getting hands on experience in the classroom. 

What is WGU

WGU is called Western Governs University, it is an all online school that I can work on at my own pace. I plan on working as fast as I can through it so I can start my teaching career. 

What degree will you get from WGU?

I will start getting my bachlors degree from WGU. I have a time frame and if all goes to plan I will finish my schooling in one year so then in the fall of 2027 I will be student teaching. 

Are you going to get your masters?

Yes, I plan on continuing my education so I can get further on the pay scale. 

Where do you want to teach?

I have grown up in Scottsbluff, I would love to stay here at teach at the elementary school I went to or the school I am a para at, but I would be honered any elementary position in Scottsbluff. 

Would you be interested in teaching in another country?

I have always loved to travel, and I have always wanted to help kids who need extra help. I am very intrested in taking a year and teaching in a different country.
